Have A “Miller Light”
Resting on the bottom at about 160 feet of depth, perfectly upright the freighter makes for a great artificial reef home to loads of wildlife. Much encrustations and growth are abundant on the wreck and as can be seen from the video, the variety of fish is great. Of course the lionfish is also represented there in great numbers as well. I had planned on treating you to a relaxing video this morning so that you could start off your work week easy. Alas some road works in the area had my internet down so I could not post this for you as early as I wanted. Continue reading
Test Dive On The VS Third Lung
What is particularly well worth noticing in this particular video is the capability of the unit to handle somewhat rough waters and not least exactly just how easy it is to remove the batteries. Remember the battery removal and replacement requires no tools.

… It is much better down there. It’s a better place.
“So what are the 10 most frequently asked questions about the Triton Submarine?” I asked my captain, Jim.
“There are just two questions and they are: How deep does it go? and how much does it cost?”, Jim replied adding “that’s … Continue reading
At 630 Feet….
We are reach a depth of about 630 and a wall becomes visible. At first a distant darker hue that tells you something is out there and then as we move closer it becomes apparent what it is. Of course this is no surprise to any of us as we know what we are diving here at this location, but nevertheless the thrill and the feeling that is invoked is still phenomenal. Continue reading

My First Real Dive In A Submarine – Hopefully Not The Last
There was no escaping his words and his face which was lit up with joy and excitement over the experience and his enthusiasm was contagious.
So here we are. Completely dry in a sphere that gives amble room and even has a little air conditioning going so that the climate quickly becomes really pleasant. At only one atmosphere yet going deeper than I have ever been before and securing that we will have no need for decompressing. In fact within two hours or so after having completed the dive we will be back on the plane bound for Florida – in other words from diving at 600 plus feet to an altitude of over 30,000 feet in a span of just a few hours. Something completely unheard of in conventional diving. Continue reading
Race2innerspace
Well, I may not be racing toward innerspace myself, but our friends at Triton Submarines are. They have entered the quest for reaching the deepest depth of the globe in a submarine of their own built. The depth of this place is about 36,000 feet or roughly about 11 kms deep and is called the Challenger Deep located as part of the Mariana Trench in the western North Pacific Ocean. Continue reading
The Race To The Deepest Part Of The Globe Is On!
The Race for reaching the deepest part of the globe is on. Triton Submarine has entered the quest and is thus challenging Richard Branson’s latest adventure hopes. The Triton Submarine company expect to be the first to reach the depths of the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean and come back safely. A feat that has not happened since Trieste a bathyscape did so briefly in 1960. Continue reading
