Police shows interest in Brownie’s products
While DEMA, the annual dive trade show, was at full blast in Las Vegas, the Fort Lauderdale Police Dive Team was testing out a few of the new Brownie’s Marine Group products. Thursday November 18th the Fort Lauderdale Police Dive Team convened near Las Olas Boulevard at the little marina on the Intracostal to test out the Brownie’s VS Third Lung – the battery powered Variable Speed hookah diving system that was released on the market earlier this year. Tagged At the dive site man-made blocks had been scattered on the ocean floor and now posed shelters for ocean fauna of many sorts, including not least a beautiful good sized moray eel. We had pretty good visibility and had a lot of fun filming, scootering and even did a little bit of clean up of the ocean floor where we found the typical emptied beer cans. We also found golf balls and suspect that someone must have had some fun driving these, we may add.

5.1 Miles – another record for the VS
During the past summer a test dive was made on one of the models we have and the numbers from the dive were super impressive. In fact a distance of 5.1 miles was covered by a diver using two Halcyon underwater propulsion vehicles. The diver entered the waters ½ mile off of Bahia Mar and exited 2 hours and 15-minutes later just off of Commercial Boulevard. That’s just about 5.1 miles in distance measured by GPS device. Dive Days With Divers Direct
One of our great authorized dealers is Divers Direct and recently we had the great opportunity to go diving with staff members from the Divers Direct Key Largo branch.
Spread over two days here in September members from Brownie’s Marine Group counting Robert, Blake, Carleigh, Mikkel and Neil went to Key Largo to meet up with staff members Pamela, Jason, JL, Angela, Virginia and Mike to go diving. It was also a chance for the Divers Direct staff members to get acquainted with the new Brownie’s VS Third Lung. We had some great dives and I believe everybody was very impressed with the performance and not least the fun the VS provides. Continue reading
